More than two dozen community-based organizations in Sacramento, including the Latino Leadership Council, are now in limbo after the City of Sacramento announced that it would be pulling away funds from The Center at Sierra Health Foundation.
We partnered with Sierra Health Foundation for specific administrative requirements and funding services that many small organizations like ourselves cannot afford on our own.
"It does come at a disadvantage for our organizations that need a lead agency like the Sierra Health Foundation to help with a lot of these administrative operations that small grassroots organizations can't afford to do by themselves," - Hermán Barahona, Board President.
