On October 25th, our Entre Amigos youth group held its first ever celebration for Día de Los Muertos at The Foundry. The celebration began with activities such as cookie decorating and pumpkin painting, allowing the youth to showcase their artistic talents. At the end of the night, a moment was taken to explain the significance of Día de Los Muertos and the Altar. The youth were asked to think of someone who had passed and had an impact on their lives, and took a few minutes to place those names on the Altar to pay their respects. The youth and their families were grateful to share this experience and to reconnect with their cultural traditions together.
